Job summary

Love's Travel Stops in the United Kingdom invites applications for Restaurant Shift Leaders who will help drive smooth kitchen operations, lead staff, and deliver exceptional customer service while managing processes to boost sales.

You will work with the General Manager to ensure safety, cleanliness, inventory, and timely order preparation, coaching teammates, and maintaining high standards across dining and food prep areas.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory role in a food-service environment.
• Excellent communication and customer-service focus.
• Ability to work various shifts and lift 50+ pounds or more.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff to deliver safe, clean kitchen operations and food safety.
• Drive sales through efficient ordering, stocking, inventory, and preparation.
• Support GM with task execution, safety, scheduling, cash integrity, and reporting.
• Coach team to prepare and package orders promptly, ensuring customer service.
• Oversee dining room and food prep area cleanliness.
• Ensure restaurant equipment is properly maintained.

Job Functions:

• Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained kitchen, along with adherence to proper food safety procedures
• Drive sales of products and services through efficient ordering, stocking, inventory management, and food preparation
• Assist the General Manager of the facility with proper task execution and completion, follow effective safety practices, schedule and cash integrity, and complete daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
• Work alongside team members to coach and develop in preparing and packaging customer orders in a timely manner and to maximize customer service expectations
• Oversee the cleanliness of the dining room and food preparation areas
• Ensure all restaurant equipment is property maintained

Skills And Demands:

• Ability to work various shifts
• Intermediate level computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer satisfaction focus
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail
• Frequent lifting/moving of items over 50 pounds or more
