Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is seeking a Restaurant Assistant Manager to lead a busy restaurant team, ensure safe, clean operations, and deliver excellent guest service. You will assist the Restaurant Manager with daily tasks, scheduling, cash handling, and reporting while driving sales and efficiency.

Candidates should have 1+ year of restaurant management experience, experience with budgets and P&L, and proven ability to supervise 5–10+ staff.

• 1+ years restaurant management experience.
• 1+ years managing operations with annual sales volume over $1M.
• 1+ years overseeing budgets and P&L statements.
• 1+ years supervising 5–10+ employees.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained facility through facilities and equipment maintenance along with adherence to proper food safety procedures.
• Drive sales of products and services through efficient ordering, stocking, inventory management, and food preparation.
• Assist the Restaurant Manager with proper task execution and completion, schedule and cash integrity, and complete daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
• Work with the team to prepare and package customer orders in a timely manner to maximize customer service expectations and results.
• Understand financial reporting to include analyzing profit and loss statements and affecting changes to capture and capitalize on opportunities.
• Collaborate with Restaurant Manager in the efforts of talent acquisition.

Requirements

• Ability to work various shift times to include days, afternoons, evenings, nights, occasional overnights, weekends, and holidays.
• 1+ years restaurant management experience.
• 1+ years managing operations with an annual sales volume of $1+million.
• 1+ years affecting and deciphering budgets and P&L statements.
• 1+ years supervising and training 5-10+ employees.
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Additional screening may include a motor vehicle check and/or DOT Physical.
