RESTAURANT MANAGER

We’re looking for an experiencedRestaurant Managerto join the senior team atemba, our canalside gastrobar in Leeds. Emba is a place where bold food, exceptional drinks and warm hospitality all carry equal weight — and we deliver each with real attention to detail, creativity and care.

This isn’t a traditional restaurant set-up — we offer both a curated tasting menu and an accessible à la carte selection. Our cocktail list is kitchen-led and constantly evolving. Our wine and beer programme sits comfortably alongside some of the most exciting lists in the country. And our service is personal, generous, and deeply informed.

We’re looking for leaders who not only understand how to run a tight, joyful, high-functioning floor — but who alsolovegreat food and drink in all forms, and can pass that passion on to both their team and our guests.

What the role involves:

• Leading the floor with confidence, clarity and warmth — you’ll be a natural point of inspiration and support.
• Delivering consistently exceptional guest experiences, across both casual services and more structured multi-course formats.
• Acting as a bridge between front of house, kitchen and bar — we operate as one team.
• Fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning and high standards.
• Taking ownership of bookings, guest communication, rotas, service prep and shift leadership.
• Overseeing stock control, compliance, and day-to-day operational excellence.
• Working with the leadership team to shape and refine every part of the guest journey.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, grounded in empathy and professionalism.
