Key duties include managing and developing staff, running busy services, overseeing reservations and covers, coaching the team, handling guest feedback, and monitoring budgets and safety standards.

Job description

We're looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join a well-established, high-end restaurant in Essex. This is a busy operation with a strong focus on food, wine and service, so we're looking for someone who is confident on the floor, enjoys leading a team and knows what great hospitality looks like.

You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the restaurant, working closely with the senior management team and leading the FOH team through service.

The role will include:

• Managing and developing the restaurant team
• Running busy services and maintaining high standards
• Managing rotas and staffing levels
• Overseeing reservations and maximising covers
• Training, coaching and supporting the team
• Looking after regular guests and handling feedback
• Supporting recruitment and performance management
• Keeping an eye on budgets and overall restaurant performance
• Making sure all operational, health & safety and food hygiene standards are followed

We're looking for someone who has previously worked in a high-end or fine-dining restaurant, ideally in a management position. You'll need to be hands-on, confident with guests and comfortable leading a team in a busy environment.
