The Municipal Hotel & Spa MGallery Liverpool welcomes a warm, organised Restaurant Host to join Palm Court, ensuring a seamless and personalised guest arrival in a luxury setting.

You'll coordinate reservations, support a premium guest journey and collaborate with kitchen and bar teams to uphold five-star standards. Experience in hospitality and outstanding communication are essential for success. Evening, weekend, and peak shifts require flexibility.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, guest service, reception or host role is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact delivering a professional, warm and memorable welcome.
• Manage reservations through ResDiary recording guest information and requests.
• Escort guests to their tables and ensure seamless arrival experience.
• Create and manage daily table plans to maximise guest flow and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with restaurant, bar and kitchen teams to deliver a cohesive service.
• Manage waitlists, walk-ins and booking amendments professionally.
• Maintain knowledge of menus, afternoon tea offerings, allergens and promotions.
• Communicate guest celebrations, VIP arrivals and dietary requirements to the wider team.
• Support revenue opportunities through upselling of premium experiences.
• Keep hosting station and guest arrival area immaculate and aligned with luxury standards.

We're looking for a warm, engaging and highly organised Restaurant Host to join the team at The Municipal Hotel & Spa MGallery Liverpool and become the first smile our guests see when they enter Palm Court. As the face of one of Liverpool's most iconic luxury destinations, you will play a key role in creating memorable first impressions, managing reservations and ensuring every guest receives a seamless and personalised welcome from the moment they arrive. We opened the first 5* Hotel in Liverpool; The Municipal Hotel & Spa MGallery in May 2023 and have reset the clock within this historic building, bringing it back to life. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RESTAURANT HOST AT THE MUNICIPAL HOTEL & SPA MGALLERY

What You’ll Be Doing...

Working closely with the Palm Court management team, you'll be responsible for delivering a warm and exceptional guest arrival experience whilst ensuring the smooth coordination of reservations and table plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for guests visiting Palm Court, delivering a professional, warm and memorable welcome.
• Manage reservations through ResDiary, ensuring all guest information, preferences and special requests are recorded accurately.
• Escort guests to their tables and support a seamless arrival experience.
• Create and manage daily table plans to maximise guest flow and operational efficiency.
• Liaise closely with restaurant, bar and kitchen teams to coordinate service and guest requirements.
• Manage waitlists, walk-ins and booking amendments professionally and efficiently.
• Maintain excellent knowledge of menus, afternoon tea offerings, allergens and promotions.
• Communicate guest celebrations, VIP arrivals and dietary requirements to the wider team.
• Support revenue opportunities through thoughtful recommendations and upselling of premium experiences where appropriate.
• Ensure the hosting station and guest arrival area remain immaculate and aligned with our luxury brand standards.

What We Need From You

• Previous experience in a hospitality, guest service, reception or host role would be advantageous.
• A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
