Restaurant General Manager

We are recruiting a Restaurant General Manager for our West End Restaurant on a full-time, permanent Basis, working 38 hours per week including alternate weekends.

Pay Rate from £41,000 per annum D.O.E

The role of Restaurant General Manager

As the Restaurant General Manager, you will lead a large restaurant team to deliver exceptional standards, achieve targets, and develop the team to provide excellent customer service. You will understand the team are key to your success and will develop their skill levels to ensure the achievement of budgeted sales and margins.

You will be required to manage and deliver the induction and training of all new catering staff as well as identifying individuals needs and actively supporting learning and development plans.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Lead and manage the front of house and kitchen teams
  • Achieve sales targets, manage margin, and reduce waste
  • Monitor and control staffing levels in response to trading environments
  • Accountable for all people processes including recruitment, induction and performance management
  • Develop the Assistant Restaurant Manager and Supervisors to ensure succession within your team
  • Work as part of the overall Garden Centre senior management team, acting as duty manager and supporting your colleagues on the retail side of the centre
  • Accountable for all health and safety within the restaurant, ensuring the highest standards are embedded throughout the team and areas

About You

This role is ideal for an individual that demonstrates outstanding leadership skills and has previous large volume and high turnover food service-related management experience. Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential with a working knowledge of health are safety/food hygiene legislation also required.
