Job description

Role: Response Consultant - Operational Resilience (12 month FTC)

Location: London - Hybrid

Position: Full time, fixed term contract

We are seeking an experienced Crisis Continuity professional to manage and coordinate responses to major incidents. Your role will involve ensuring our response capabilities are effective, rehearsed, and integrated across disciplines and service providers.

Operational resilience and crisis management are vital to our functioning as an insurance company. You will focus on embedding and enhancing incident, crisis response, and scenario testing capabilities, collaborating with stakeholders and partners.

About The Job
Responsibilities include:
  • Developing and managing incident management frameworks, tools, and methodologies aligned with market practices, regulations, and business needs.
  • Leading incident assessment and response, escalating issues, and facilitating crisis team operations.
  • Training crisis team members and conducting cross-business awareness and training activities.
  • Facilitating scenario tests across the organization and integrating findings into resilience frameworks.
  • Monitoring metrics to evaluate response capabilities and identifying resilience vulnerabilities for remediation.
  • Developing incident management processes for third-party dependencies and coordinating with suppliers and partners.
  • Drafting post-incident and exercise reports to capture lessons learned and improvements.
  • Managing crisis communications and maintaining business continuity and resilience policies and standards.
  • Building stakeholder relationships and supporting effective response to operational threats and incidents.
  • Ensuring impact tolerances are supported by appropriate recovery objectives.
  • Maturing tools, practices, and capabilities for continual improvement and alignment with industry and regulatory standards.

This role reports to the Head of Operational Resilience and involves close collaboration with senior stakeholders, operational teams, and service providers to monitor, resolve issues, and enhance resilience capabilities.
