Job summary

NHS Professionals is recruiting a Respiratory Physiologist (Band 6) to join Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust at Wythenshawe Hospital in the Lung Function ward. You will perform advanced respiratory tests and CPET, working unsupervised and on rotation in the sleep laboratory as required.

The role offers flexible bank shifts, weekly pay, and access to NHSP academy development. Relevant senior physiologist experience and a BSc in Clinical Physiology are essential to provide expert patient

What you can add:

• Perform unsupervised, the following complex procedures: Histamine challenge, cardiopulmonary exercise testing, respiratory muscle assessment, fitness to fly assessment, long term oxygen assessment and allergen skin prick testing.
• Perform, analyse and report highly complex procedures including cardiopulmonary exercise testing
• Perform unsupervised specialist techniques within the sleep laboratory whilst on rotation through the service where required.
• Deputise for laboratory manager as required to maintain appropriate functioning of the service.

What you'll need:

• Relevant clinical experience as a Senior Physiologist or equivalent
• BSc in Clinical Physiology
• Proven exposure to diagnostic test areas
