Barr Beacon School in Aldridge (Walsall) invites applications for an Attendance Officer to promote excellent attendance. You will work with senior leaders to reduce absence and tackle punctuality issues across the school.
You will investigate persistent absence, liaise with families, and prepare legal packs. The role is 37 hours per week, term time only, with a starting salary around £26,825, rising to £31,187 FTE, and begins September 2026.

Are you a highly organised and motivated individual? If so, we may have a great opportunity for you. Barr Beacon School are seeking to appoint an Attendance Officer to support promoting excellent attendance.
You will work alongside key school staff, including Senior Leaders, to reduce levels of absence and work with children and families to improve levels of attendance across the school. You will address attendance and punctuality issues, investigate persistent absence and provide direct support to senior staff within the school. You will also be responsible for producing legal packs.
