Job summary

Swim England is recruiting an experienced Disciplinary Investigator (12‑month fixed term) based at SportPark, Loughborough. The role oversees complaints through informal and formal processes, with a focus on early resolution and robust investigative reporting.

You will manage a varied caseload, collaborate with stakeholders, and produce clear recommendations to drive learning and continuous improvement across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting both informal and formal investigations.
• Proven ability to produce clear, evidence‑based reports with practical recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to defend decisions.
• Experience managing a demanding caseload and meeting tight deadlines.
• Strong independent judgement and impartial decision making.
• Experience engaging with stakeholders and handling sensitive matters with discretion.
• Understanding of procedural fairness and natural justice.

Responsibilities

• Promote early intervention and informal resolution to prevent escalation.
• Manage the Informal Complaints Procedure to achieve fair resolutions.
• Lead formal investigations, gather evidence and prepare Complaint Reports.
• Conduct Reviews in line with Swim England policies.
• Manage correspondence, ensuring timely progression of matters.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders professionally.
• Maintain accurate case records and monitor deadlines.
• Identify themes and risks, recommending improvements.
• Record recommendations and assign action owners for implementation.
• Support policy reviews and development of procedures.
