Sandwell Council is seeking a proactive Resilience Officer to join the Resilience team on a full-time, permanent basis from its Oldbury office. The role supports emergency planning, business continuity and civil contingencies planning across the Council, with hybrid working (3 in office, 2 at home) and on-call duties.

The successful candidate will develop plans, provide expert guidance, organise exercises and liaise with internal teams, emergency services and partner organisations to safeguard

Formación

• Educated to degree level or equivalent knowledge/experience in emergency planning, resilience, or related field.
• Experience in emergency planning, resilience, business continuity, risk management or governance.
• Ability to develop plans, reports and briefing papers to a high standard.

Responsabilidades

• Support development, implementation and maintenance of emergency planning and business continuity across the Council.
• Work with services to ensure robust emergency and continuity plans are in place and reviewed.
• Provide professional advice on emergency preparedness, risk management and incident response.
• Assist with business impact assessments and identify critical service priorities.
• Organise, facilitate and evaluate exercises to test arrangements.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders, emergency services, partners and agencies.
• Prepare reports, briefings and presentations for senior leaders.
