Job summary

Southwark Council seeks a Transformation Communications Manager to lead the Residents First vision, embedding change across 5,000+ colleagues through compelling communications and content.

You will design and deliver transformation plans, shape culture, and provide strategic advice to senior leaders while collaborating with HR, OD and Strategy teams. Hybrid working with borough presence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading organisation-wide transformation communications programmes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and diverse stakeholders.
• Experience producing content across digital channels and campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver the transformation communications plan, shaping culture and change.
• Lead the development of engaging content and campaigns for colleagues.
• Use insight and evaluation to measure engagement and improve activity.
• Collaborate with HR, OD, Change and Strategy to support behaviour change.
• Provide strategic communications advice to senior stakeholders.
• Develop narratives and storytelling to inspire action and embrace change.
• Lead communication planning for key transformation milestones across the organisation.
