Job summary

First Blue Inspired in Ashbourne is seeking a compassionate Team Leader/Deputy Manager for a Residential Children’s Home offering care for young people with learning disabilities. You will supervise staff, oversee daily care, and support education and life-skills development.

You will foster a safe, nurturing environment, implement individual care plans, and collaborate with families and external professionals to promote wellbeing and progress for each child.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with children with learning disabilities or additional needs.
• Diploma level 4 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to children with learning disabilities, ensuring safety and wellbeing.
• Oversee staff and support management of behaviours toward self-control.
• Develop and implement individual care plans and coordinate with professionals and families.
