Job summary

Blue Mountain Homes Limited is opening a new 4-bedroom Learning Disability Home in Ollerton. We seek a Deputy Manager to guide care for young people with mild to moderate learning disabilities, with sleep-in shifts and a UK driving licence requirement.

Experience in children's homes and a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care are essential; DBS checks and Safer Recruitment apply. The role includes supervising staff and ensuring Ofsted standards are met.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care and a valid manual driving licence.
• Experience in residential children’s homes preferred (2 years).
• Commitment to safeguarding and positive development of young people.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating a safe and supportive environment for each young person.
• Support the home’s ethos and represent Blue Mountain Homes professionally.
• Maintain professional standards in line with Ofsted and Quality Care Standards.
• Deliver residential childcare in line with company policies and procedures.
• Manage the Home in the absence of the Registered Manager.
• Work on the floor alongside care workers and young people.
