Job summary

Shaw healthcare is seeking a caring Residential Team Leader for Cartref in Hay-on-Wye. This role leads a dedicated team, delivering high-quality care to residents. 14-hour contracts with pay at £15.08 per hour.

You will supervise care staff, ensure medication is administered safely, maintain care plans, and promote best practice across shifts. This is a rewarding position in a supportive, employee-owned organisation that values its people.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential care for older people.
• NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) or working towards it.
• Experience leading or mentoring colleagues or ability to step into a leadership role.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Caring, patient and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Leading, motivating and supporting the care team to deliver person-centred care.
• Promoting best practice at all times.
• Safely administering and recording medication in line with company policies.
• Monitoring residents' health and wellbeing and reporting concerns.
• Maintaining accurate care plans and documentation.

Education
