Job summary

Cambian Group is seeking a dynamic Residential Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day management of a children's residential home, leading a team of care staff to deliver high-quality care and safeguarding.

You will promote a safe, nurturing environment, manage rotas, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with safeguarding and legislation. A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare and a full UK driving license are required; experience in a supervisory role is essential.

  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Ensure compliance with legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Promote a child-centred approach focusing on welfare, development and safety.

  • Conduct regular supervisions, appraisals and training.
  • Handle safeguarding concerns and report incidents.

About the Role: As a Residential Team Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the residential home, supporting a team of care staff to deliver high-quality care to children and young people. You will play a pivotal role in promoting a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where every child feels valued and empowered. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular supervisions, appraisals, and training sessions for the team.
  • Handle safeguarding concerns and ensure all incidents are appropriately recorded and reported.
  • Build positive relationships with external agencies, families, and the local community.
About You

About You: We are looking for a resilient, empathetic, and proactive individual who has experience working in residential childcare and is ready to take the next step in their career. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within children's residential services.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations effectively.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • New staff must be comfortable using an electronic care recording system on a daily basis to document, monitor, and update children and young people's records accurately. Experience with Clearcare is an advantage, but not essential, as
