Job summary

The Cambian Group is seeking a Residential Team Leader to oversee a children’s residential home, lead a team of care staff, and ensure safe, nurturing environments for vulnerable children in Hull. You will manage day-to-day operations and model best practice.

You will hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, have supervisory experience, strong safeguarding knowledge, excellent communication, a UK driving licence, and comfort using electronic care recording systems such as Clearcare.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• Experience in supervisory or leadership role within children's residential services.
• Strong safeguarding and child protection knowledge.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Comfort using electronic care recording systems daily; Clearcare is advantageous.

About the Role

As a Residential Team Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the residential home, supporting a team of care staff to deliver high-quality care to children and young people. You will play a pivotal role in promoting a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where every child feels valued and empowered.

About You

• A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations effectively.
• A full UK driving licence.
• New staff must be comfortable using an electronic care recording system on a daily basis to document, monitor, and update children and young people’s records accurately. Experience with Clearcare is an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided. However, all staff are expected to confidently use digital systems as part of their day-to-day role.
