Job summary

Northumberland County Council is seeking a Residential Support Worker for Kyloe House, Stannington, Morpeth. The role focuses on providing compassionate care within a secure environment for young people, with safeguarding a key duty.

Salary & Benefits

Market Force Allowance: £5,000 p/a (Reviewed annually)

Enhancements apply between 8:00pm – 6:00am and weekends. Sleep-in payments are additional to the basic salary.

The Role – Residential Support Worker

As a Residential Support Worker, you will:

Useful Information

Working Hours

Average 37 hours per week, following a designated shift pattern including:

• Early and late shifts (between 7:45am – 10:30pm)
• Alternate weekends and some bank holidays

Disclosure Requirement

The successful applicant must complete an Enhanced DBS check.

This role is subject to robust safer recruitment checks and ongoing safeguarding responsibilities.
