Job summary

Active Care Group is recruiting for a Residential Support Worker at Pear Tree House in Swindon. You will support children and young people with learning disabilities, often with complex needs, helping them with daily living and skills development in a caring, protective environment.

Role includes safeguarding responsibilities, liaising with school/college during stays, and working towards Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Child Care.

Qualifications

• The ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Genuine interest in providing person-centred care for young people.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
• Act in accordance with safeguarding legislation and organisational policies.
• Build relationships with children and young people and communicate effectively.
• Assist with mealtimes and activities of daily living as needed.
• Report and record work activities to the on-shift team leader or management.
