Job summary

Action for Children is seeking a Residential Support Worker for Monksfield in Hexham, Northumberland. You will support children with moderate to severe learning difficulties and complex health needs through daily routines, personal care, play and learning.

This is a hands-on role requiring compassion, resilience and flexibility across shifts including nights and sleep-ins. You’ll work with families and professionals to ensure consistent care plans, risk assessments and inclusive activities that

Qualifications

• Experience working within a care setting and supporting children or young people.
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, or working towards it (to be completed within two years).
• Experience and training in safeguarding, with a strong commitment to keeping children safe.
• Ability to create tailored care plans reflecting each child’s needs.
• Developing a safe, nurturing environment for children at home and in the community.
