Job summary

CareTech in Corwen is hiring a Residential Support Worker to provide emotional and practical support to children with complex needs. A full UK manual driving licence is essential, with a rolling rota including evenings and sleep-ins.

No prior care experience is required as comprehensive training and mentoring are provided; you will join a therapeutic care team to help young people grow and thrive in a structured environment.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence (essential).
• Willingness to work unsociable hours (evenings, weekends and overnight sleep-ins).
• Ability to commit to sleep-ins with a rolling rota.
• No prior care experience required – full training and mentoring provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional and practical support to children and young people with complex needs.
• Be part of a therapeutic care team alongside education and clinical professionals.
• Encourage independence and safe, structured development for young people.
• Document records daily using the electronic care recording system.
