About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Residential Support Worker to join a fantastic home for children and young people aged 11 – 17 with backgrounds of trauma and emotional behavioral difficulties. You will be working for an incredible local Children’s Homes provider who operates across the Greater Manchester area.
Your key responsibilities as the Residential Support Worker:
As a Residential Support Worker, you will provide a high standard of care and support to vulnerable young people with emotional behavior difficulties and/or self-esteem issues to maximize their individual potential. You will demonstrate positive attitudes, patience, understanding, and respect in caring for the children and young people. Maintaining a flexible, caring, and sensitive approach to service delivery, regardless of young people's cultural, religious, and/or sexual diversity, is essential.
To work professionally and develop good relationships with children, young people, and external agencies. Creating positive relationships, meeting their needs, and safeguarding them at all times. You will develop timetables, set boundaries, and expectations for the young people. Consistency and organizational skills are key.
