SENAD Group's Alderwasley Hall School in Derbyshire is seeking a Residential Support Worker to assist students in a home setting, supporting care activities, leisure, and holidays while promoting independence and choice.

Applicants should be enthusiastic, patient and resilient, able to work in a team and use initiative. Driving is advantageous due to remote location; full induction and DBS checks will be completed.

Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our care team as a Residential Support Worker! As a Support Worker, you will be working within the residential setting, you will assist students with a range of care activities in the home and support students' needs during leisure activities and school holiday periods. You will promote the student's independence and choices at every opportunity! All staff must be flexible and willing to work shifts that include some evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.

• Also be able to work well in a team as well as using your own initiative.
• Experience of working in a similar setting with young children would be an advantage, but is not essential, as full induction and training will be provided.

Desirable Criteria

Due to the school's remote location - it is recommended that applicants are able to drive and own their own car.
