Overview

TeacherActive is working with a children's residential provider in Swansea to recruit a Residential Support Worker (RSW). The role involves supporting children and young people diagnosed with EBD (Emotional Behavioural Difficulties), SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health), or complex trauma needs. The facility houses 4 children and young people aged between [age range], with a child-focused ethos that emphasizes safety, security, consistency, and respecting children's wishes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support children and young people using therapeutic models such as P.A.C.E
• Create a safe and supportive environment that promotes the children's well-being
• Work flexibly across shifts to meet the needs of the service

Candidate Requirements

• Experience working with children and young people, especially with challenging behaviours or trauma
• Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People's Workforce or willingness to obtain it

• Can-do attitude and flexibility with shifts
