Job description

Residential Support Worker - Derbyshire

An exciting opportunity has arisen for residential support workers in Derbyshire, working within a residential children's home.

The service aims to meet the needs of its most vulnerable children and maximize their life chances, enabling them to achieve their full potential. As a residential support worker, you will be part of a team providing 24-hour care, ensuring the quality of care aligns with OFSTED standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support children and young people in their daily activities and interests.
  2. Promote independence and well-being of young people.
  3. Participate in weekends away, holidays, and trips with the children.
  4. Support children and young people in weekend and evening activities, ranging from climbing to baking and outdoor adventures.
  5. Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare.
  6. Provide emotional and practical support to young people.
  7. Maintain safety by keeping up-to-date with care plans and guidelines.
Salary and Progression:

Salary ranges from £24,000 to £26,000, covering shift patterns including days, weekends, and sleep-ins. Opportunities for progression into senior roles are available.
