Job Summary

Job title: Residential Support Worker

Location: Congleton, Cheshire

Salary: £24,850 - £28,475 depending on experience and qualifications

Sleep ins: £3,625 per annum based on 7 sleep ins per month (£45 per sleep)

Specialist Home bonus: £1,095 per annum

Earnings: £29,570 - £33,195 per annum

Shift pattern: 1 shift on, 2 shifts off

Shift Start Times: 10:00 am until 11:00 pm followed by a sleep-in, finishing at 10:45 the following day / 08:00 am until 11:00 pm without a sleep-in

We are seeking to appoint a Residential Support Worker for our children’s home. This is a great opportunity to join a highly established and successful children’s home, learning from an experienced, skilled team of like-minded individuals who share a passion for providing the best support for children in care.

No two days will be the same supporting young people to achieve their best. Tasks include cooking, cleaning, participating in activities and games, taking young people to appointments, managing challenging behaviors, or simply sitting and watching TV with them.

Our goal is to create a positive, relaxed home environment where young people feel safe, supported, and listened to. You will be inducted by our award-winning learning & development team and guided by senior staff, including psychologists and therapy teams, to establish boundaries, manage behaviors, and nurture positive futures.

Experience in residential care is advantageous but not essential. Please note this role involves shift work, including sleep-ins at the home, covering evenings, weekends, and holidays, shared among staff.
