Exciting Opportunity: Residential Support Worker

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Residential Support Worker to join a well-established Children's home. This full-time role offers a salary of up to £26,150 and benefits.

As a Residential Support Worker, you will support children with learning disabilities in their daily lives, promoting independence and emotional wellbeing through consistent and compassionate care.

Positions Available:

Two candidates are sought, one for day shift and one for night shift.

Responsibilities:
  • Providing direct care to children with learning disabilities, ensuring their dignity and safety.
  • Assisting with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mealtimes.
  • Building meaningful relationships to support emotional development and confidence.
  • Contributing to and delivering individual care plans that support personal growth.
  • Liaising effectively with families and external professionals to ensure holistic support.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment.
  • Documenting observations and progress to inform care strategies.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Residential Support Worker, Support Worker, Childcare Worker, Residential Care Worker, Care Practitioner, Therapeutic Practitioner, or similar role.
  • At least 1 year of experience supporting children, especially those with learning disabilities or additional needs, is beneficial.
  • A Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent (preferred).
  • A full UK driving licence.
