Job summary

Avocet Recruitment is seeking an Assistant Site Manager for a residential development in Lichfield, Staffordshire. The role reports to the Site Manager and Construction Manager, supporting safe, efficient, and cost-effective works to the highest standard of quality and customer service.

You will assist with health and safety implementation, manage site staff, and help deliver all production requirements in line with technical documentation and NHBC/LABC requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Assistant Site Manager with a high volume residential house builder.
• Experience in effectively managing teams.
• Up to date knowledge of health and safety and building legislation.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the development and provide direction to the site team regarding responsibilities and targets.
• Assist with health and safety procedures and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Motivate and manage site staff, deliver toolbox talks, training and coaching.
• Maintain site presentation to required standards at all times.
• Assist in delivering production requirements in line with technical and planning docs.
• Conform to building regulations and warranty provider requirements (NHBC, LABC).
• Assist with producing production/progress returns and ensure timely submission to Construction Manager/Director.
• Maintain site records including site reports, labour, plant, materials, inductions and safety records.
• Inspect and ensure remedial work is completed ahead of NHBC key stage inspections.
