Are you ready to lead a service where outstanding care comes first?

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to join our team at Beeches on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident care leader who can provide clear direction, inspire a dedicated team and ensure the people in our care receive safe, person-centered and high-quality support. You will take overall responsibility for the effective management of the service, including care delivery, staffing, safeguarding, quality, resources and delegated budgets. You will also act as the Registered person for the home, ensuring the service operates in line with regulatory requirements, national care standards and Cygnet policies.

The Beeches

is a specialist residential service supporting adults aged 18 and over with autism and learning disabilities. The people we support may also have communication challenges, complex needs or behaviours that challenge. The service provides 12 en-suite bedrooms across two living areas and offers a safe, comfortable and supportive environment focused on independence, choice and meaningful community involvement.

Your Day-to-day Responsibilities
  • Provide strong, visible leadership and a clear sense of direction for the service.
  • Maintain high standards of person-centred care, safety and safeguarding.
  • Ensure individual care, activity and lifelong learning plans are developed, implemented and regularly reviewed.
  • Oversee referrals, pre-admission and post-admission assessments and care planning.
  • Support individuals to have choice, control and as much independence as possible.
  • Lead, supervise, coach and develop the staff team.
  • Ensure effective staffing levels, deployment and rota management.
  • Manage recruitment, staff wellbeing, absence, supervision and appraisal processes.
  • Monitor service quality through audits, reviews and continuous improvement activity.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports and effective communication systems.
  • Build positive relationships with families, social workers, healthcare professionals, commissioners and other external agencies.
  • Manage delegated budgets and monitor expenditure, including agency usage and overtime.
  • Ensure the service environment remains safe, welcoming, well maintained and responsive to individual needs.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and work flexibly when required, including occasional evenings, nights or weekends
You are…

  • Able to translate policies and procedures into consistent everyday practice.
  • Skilled in managing, coaching and developing individuals and teams.
  • An effective communicator who can build strong professional relationships.
  • Organised, resilient and able to manage changing priorities.
  • Comfortable managing budgets, staffing resources and service performance.
  • Committed to equality, dignity, respect and the rights of the people in our care.
You Will Need
  • A relevant Level 4 care qualification, social work qualification or current RNLD/RMN registration.
  • At least two years’ significant management or supervisory experience within a care setting during the previous five years.
  • Substantial experience supporting people with needs similar to those supported at Beeches.
  • Experience of managing and developing staff, including colleagues with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, person-centered planning, health and safety and relevant care regulations.
