Job summary

Weybourne Limited is seeking a dedicated Residential Security Officer for a large private estate in North Somerset. You will protect the principal and their property, monitor CCTV and alarms, and respond to incidents with discretion.

The role requires a strong customer focus, integrity, and excellent communication. A full clean driving license and SIA Door Supervisor status are essential or expected, with vetting procedures in place.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Residential Security role or similar
• SIA License - Door Supervisor or above
• A full, clean driving license
• Willingness to undergo background vetting including criminal records checks and enhanced vetting
• FPOS qualification (desirable)
• Experience using CCTV and alarm systems (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Protect the Principal, the Principal’s family, and their property
• Monitor CCTV, Fire and alarm systems 24/7
• Patrol and security checks on-site and off-site
• Coordinate security response to incidents across the estate
• Coordinate evacuation during emergencies
• Manage access control and lockdown procedures
• Engage with security contractors to ensure compliance with estate policies
• Promote health and safety, and maintain standard operating procedures
• Deliver discreet, confidential security services and maintain estate values
• Foster positive relationships across the estate and its staff

Job description

Established in 2013, Weybourne manages investments and provides financial and other professional support to a High Net Worth family, their estates, and business interests. The latter covers a wide range of sectors, including farming, aviation, financial investments, commercial and residential property, music and several others. We currently have a team of around 65 employees, whose roles cover accountancy, financial control, tax and treasury, property and investment management, security, risk, and HR based in the both the UK and Singapore (where the Group Head Office is located).

Job Purpose

An exceptional opportunity for an experienced Residential Security Officer has arisen on a large private Estate in North Somerset.

Key Responsibilities

• Protection of the Principal, Principal's Family and their property
• Security monitoring other Family properties not located within the immediate Estate
• 24/7 Monitoring of CCTV, Fire and alarm systems
• Patrolling and security checks both mobile and on foot
• Coordination of security reaction to incidents across the estate
• Coordination of evacuation in the event of a fire or other emergency
• Lock down procedures at night/ open up procedures in the morning
• Emergency planning and coordination
• Reaction to and management of medical incidents
• Ensure compliance with Estate and security specific procedures
• Incident management ensuring all incidents are responded to in an appropriate manner
• Engage with security specific contractors to ensure compliance with Estate policies
• Ensure that compliance with all Estate's policies and procedures, including Health and Safety
• Event security and guest reception as required by the Estate
• Anticipate the needs of the Principal, the Estate employees and plan/act accordingly
• Deliver a discreet, confidential and unobtrusive service
• Uphold and maintain Estate Values; ensure and always embrace and keep focused on the principles and priorities of the Estate
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships across the Estate
• Committed to continuous development of own skills and knowledge, undergoing training where necessary
• Promote best working practices and ensure all safe systems of work are followed by ALL members of staff - reminding others of their Health and Safety responsibilities, and reporting incidents/near misses directly when necessary
• Help to develop and maintain the Standard Operating Procedures and other documentation for security related processes

Person specification / Core Competencies

• Experience working in a Residential Security role (or role similar to that outlined above) or demonstrate transferable skills
• SIA License - Door Supervisor or above
• A full, clean driving license
• Willingness to undergo background vetting including criminal records checks and enhanced vetting
• First Person On the Scene (FPOS) qualified (desirable)
• Experience using CCTV and alarm systems (desirable)
