It also includes the opportunity to contribute to business development efforts at the Abingdon office, supported by the Head of Department and Marketing Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet and advise clients, taking instructions and explaining legal and administrative processes
  • Draft and review legal documentation accurately and efficiently
  • Ensure timely responses to all client and third-party communications
  • Maintain high standards of compliance and file management (both electronic and paper)
  • Meet performance and financial targets, including managing aged bills and payment on account
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, including AML, GDPR and professional conduct rules
  • Support the firm's local presence by helping to build community and business relationships
  • Maintain continuing competence requirements and contribute to firm initiatives as required

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
  • 6+ years PQE preferred (other levels will be considered based on relevant experience)
  • Solid experience in all aspects of residential conveyancing
  • Case management experience in a busy high street or regional practice
  • Client-focused, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, diligent and professional with a high level of personal integrity
  • Commercially aware and proactive in growing business opportunities
  • Comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively as part of a wider team
