Job summary

Clayton Legal in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, England, is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join its friendly property team on a hybrid, full-time basis. You’ll manage a varied caseload, own your work from instruction to completion and build strong client relationships.

The Opportunity

Are you an experienced Residential Conveyancer looking for a role where you can take ownership of your caseload, build strong client relationships and have genuine support around you?

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an established and friendly Property team in Sutton Coldfield, with hybrid working available.

You’ll manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to post-completion, while also having the opportunity to support junior colleagues and contribute to the continued growth of the team.

The Role

You’ll handle a broad range of residential property matters, including:

• Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
• Remortgages and equity release
• Transfers of equity and matrimonial transfers
• Investigating and reporting on title
• Managing files from instruction through to completion and post-completion
• Providing support and guidance to junior team members
• Building strong relationships with clients, estate agents and professional contacts
• Identifying cross-referral opportunities within the firm
• Ensuring compliance with CQS and regulatory requirements

About You

We’re looking for an experienced Residential Conveyancer with:

• Proven experience managing your own caseload from instruction to completion.
• Strong technical knowledge of residential conveyancing.
• Experience with freehold, leasehold, remortgages and transfers of equity.
• Excellent client care and communication skills.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail.
• The ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
• A proactive, professional and team-focused approach.
• Good local knowledge and an interest in developing client relationships.
