Job summary

Chadwick Nott is seeking a Residential Property Litigation Solicitor for a Birmingham-based role with hybrid working. You will manage a varied caseload including debt recovery, breach of lease, forfeiture and possession proceedings, and lease extensions.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years’ PQE, strong knowledge of lease and enforcement statutes, and excellent communication skills. The role offers a permanent, full-time position in Birmingham and a salary of £60,000–£80,000 p.a.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ PQE.
• Working knowledge of leases and enforcement of judgments, Landlord & Tenant Act 1985/1987, Commonhold & Leasehold Reform Act 2002.
• Pro-active, self-motivated, organised and able to work to tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload including debt recovery, breach of lease, and forfeiture.
• Advise on major works consultation, s20b notices, lease variations, and lease structure.
• Support the Pre-Litigation team with queries.
• Provide staff training and mentoring trainees.
• Oversee appointments of manager applications and enforcement of judgments.
• Offer client advice on lease extensions, lease variations and notices of repairs.
