Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a Project Architect to join our Holmes Chapel team. You will manage bespoke residential projects from client contact through to completion, coordinating surveys, planning, and construction packages.

The role requires strong residential architecture experience, planning and Building Regulations knowledge, and the ability to liaise with private clients, contractors, and consultants. Hybrid working becomes available after establishment within the team.

Qualifications

• Strong background in residential architecture.
• Planning and Building Regulations experience is essential.
• Proven experience taking residential projects from concept through construction.
• Experience dealing directly with private residential clients.
• Strong understanding of residential construction and detailing.
• Comfortable liaising with contractors and solving on-site issues.
• Contract administration experience is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Manage bespoke residential projects from initial client engagement through to completion.
• Undertake site surveys and develop initial design proposals.
• Prepare and submit planning applications.
• Produce detailed technical drawings and Building Regulations packages.
• Liaise directly with private clients throughout the design and construction process.
• Coordinate consultants, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Prepare specifications, schedules of work and tender documentation.
• Assist with contractor selection, tender reviews and appointments.
• Undertake regular site visits and monitor construction works.
• Provide Contract Administration and project management throughout construction.
• Assist with valuations and certification where required.
• Manage project quality, programme and client expectations through to completion.
• Travel to projects across the UK, with 1–2 site visits per week.
