Job summary

Mears Group PLC is seeking an experienced Plumber to support a busy responsive repairs contract in Brighton. You will perform a wide range of domestic plumbing repairs in occupied social housing, from leaks to heating and drainage issues, ensuring homes remain safe and comfortable.

This full-time role offers a company van, fuel card and an out-of-hours rota. Strong customer service is essential as you work directly with residents in Brighton and surrounding areas.

• Proven experience in domestic repairs and maintenance in a plumbing position.

Responsibilities

• Carry out responsive plumbing repairs in occupied properties.
• Diagnose and repair leaks, blockages and drainage issues.
• Replace taps, toilets, cisterns and other sanitary ware.
• Repair or replace pipework, valves and fittings.
• Investigate and resolve issues with hot water systems or radiators.
• Ensure compliance with plumbing regulations and health and safety standards.
• Record job details using handheld devices or job sheets.
• Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicle.
• Work respectfully in residents’ homes and maintain a clean environment.
• Participate in the out-of-hours emergency rota when required.
• Adhere to all health and safety policies.
