Job summary

Mears Group is seeking an experienced Plumber in Birmingham to join our responsive repairs team. You will perform a wide range of domestic plumbing tasks in occupied social housing, ensuring safety, quality, and resident satisfaction.

You will carry out repairs, diagnose issues, and document work using handheld devices. The role requires a valid UK licence, a professional approach, and strong customer service in residents' homes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in domestic plumbing repairs and maintenance.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service in occupied homes.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out responsive plumbing repairs in occupied properties.
• Diagnose and repair leaks, blockages, and drainage issues.
• Replace taps, toilets, cisterns, basins and other sanitary ware.
• Repair or replace pipework, valves and fittings.
• Investigate issues with hot water systems and radiators.
• Record job details using handheld devices or job sheets.
