Job summary

Anderselite Ltd. is seeking an experienced Painter & Decorator to deliver high-quality internal and external decorating across social housing properties. You'll work in occupied and void homes, maintaining safety and minimal disruption while delivering excellent customer service to tenants and residents.

The role emphasizes precise surface preparation, finishing, and collaboration with trades to meet company standards. A full UK driving licence and NVQ2 in Painting & Decorating are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Painting & Decorating.
• Strong painting and decorating skills with high attention to detail.
• Experience in social housing, property maintenance or refurbishment.
• Experience in both occupied and void properties.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out internal and external painting and decorating in residential/social housing.
• Prepare surfaces by filling, sanding, wallpaper removal and making good.
• Apply paint, varnish, stains and finishes to walls, woodwork and ceilings.
• Hang wallpaper and complete decorative finishes where required.
• Carry out reactive maintenance decorating after repairs by others.
• Minor plaster patching, caulking and surface preparation.
• Complete finishing and snagging to meet quality standards.
• Identify defects and select appropriate preparation and decorating solutions.
• Work in occupied homes with a clean, respectful environment.
• Ensure works are safe, efficient and compliant with procedures.
• Provide professional customer service to tenants, residents and clients.
• Collaborate with other trades and teams; complete job sheets and reports.
