Job summary

Jasmine Healthcare seeks caring staff to join South Moor Lodge Care Home in Walkeringham, near Gainsborough. The role is full-time permanent, 3 days per week, 10am–6pm with alternative weekends, supporting meals, daily living activities and resident wellbeing.

The team values compassion, reliability and a can-do attitude. NVQ Level 2/3 training is funded, with opportunities for progression and a supportive pension plan.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in a relevant qualification is preferred.
• Live within 20 minutes of the Home.
• One year’s experience in a similar role preferred.
• Willing to sign up to an NVQ Level 2.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Team player and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in preparing, cooking and serving meals to residents.
• Assist in washing and cleaning kitchen equipment and surfaces.
• Acting in line with health & safety and food hygiene guidelines.
• Promoting residents’ choice, dignity and independence at all times.
• Willing to go above and beyond to meet residents’ needs.

A little about South Moor Lodge:

South Moor Lodge is located in the idyllic village of Walkeringham (5 miles to the West of Gainsborough). The home is centred around a nineteenth century barn, which has been selectively extended in keeping with its character. This provides the homeliness that Jasmine seeks for its homes, whilst still providing modern living accommodation. The home sits within two acres of landscaped grounds, and provides personal and dementia care for 41 residents.

• Assisting in preparing, cooking and serving meals to our residents
• Assist in washing and cleaning kitchen equipment and surfaces
• Acting in line with health & safety and food hygiene guidelines
• Promoting our resident’s choice, dignity and independence and all times
• A good reason or experience that has drawn you to working in a care setting
• Live within 20 minutes of the Home
• Willing to contractually sign up to an NVQ Level 2 in a relevant qualification
• Team player
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good time management
• Good written and oral communication skills
• A willingness to go above and beyond to meet the needs of our residents
• A positive and enthusiastic outlook
• One years’ experience in a similar role (preferred)
• One years’ experience working in a residential or nursing home. (preferred)
• Hold a relevant level 2 or 3 qualification (preferred)
• Knowledge of health and safety in the workplace (preferred)
