Job summary

Choice Care Group is seeking a Maintenance Operative to perform a mix of reactive and planned maintenance across our East Region properties. The role is 40 hours per week, with duties spanning minor decorating, carpentry and general upkeep in occupied homes.

You will have access to a company van and fuel card, a mobile phone, tools provided and an on-call standby allowance. The position includes on-call responsibilities and travel within the region.

Qualifications

• Practical experience of general property maintenance, facilities work or caretaking.
• Ability to complete minor repairs, decorate and carry out simple carpentry.
• Good judgement on when to call for specialist support.
• Respectful approach when assisting people in occupied homes.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor repairs and decorating tasks across properties.
• Carry out basic carpentry and fixture replacements.
• Assist with leaks, blockages and safety checks.
• Coordinate with specialists for regulated work when needed.
• Maintain accurate records of work and tasks.
