Job summary

Gleeson Homes is recruiting an Engineer to support the Regional Technical and operating teams, helping deliver the group business plan and growth. The role involves mentoring juniors, ensuring high standards and strong attention to detail across residential development projects.

The Engineer will provide feasibility analysis, coordinate consultants, and manage technical meetings and site infrastructure approvals, contributing to building regulations compliance and warranty processes.

Qualifications

• This role seeks a candidate with a relevant technical design or civil engineering background.
• It requires knowledge of design standards, regulatory requirements and NHBC/related frameworks.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical/engineering support to feasibility studies and site viability reports.
• Identify external consultants, fees, scope, timescales and deliverability.
• Manage consultant relationships to meet programme deadlines and NHBC standards.
• Support planning, design and delivery across civil/structural engineering considerations.
• Assist tendering, setting-up and establishment of on-site management elements.
• Coordinate utilities design, quotes and agreements for sites.
• Interact with internal teams, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare KPI status reports for the Technical function.
• Lead on site technical meetings for procurement and approval of site infrastructure.
