Job summary
Gleeson Homes is recruiting an Engineer to support the Regional Technical team and operations, helping deliver the regional and Group growth plans with attention to detail.
Ideal candidates will have a relevant technical design or civil engineering background, familiarity with house-building standards, and proficiency in AutoCAD. This role offers opportunities to advance within a national homebuilder.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of engineering requirements of the house building industry and the legal framework associated with technical standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical/engineering support to land/development team for feasibility studies and site viability reports.
- Identify external consultants, agree fees, scope, timescales and deliverability.
- Manage relationships with consultants to meet timescales and NHBC standards.
- Assist in tendering for site management companies and ensure legal agreements.
- Interact with internal departments, consultants, suppliers and sub-contractors to achieve Building Regulations and warranty approvals.
- Assist in preparation of KPI status reports for the Technical function.
- Coordinate utilities design, quotes and agreements.
- Responsible for managing the Adoption process.
- Provide engineering support to site teams and internal departments.
- Lead on relevant technical meetings for procurement and approval of site infrastructure.
