Job summary

Puro Associates is seeking a Conveyancing Assistant to support fee earners in a residential property team. The role covers instruction through completion, coordinating with clients, agents, lenders and solicitors, and handling AML checks, searches, title documents, contract packs, and post-completion tasks.

The ideal candidate will have prior conveyancing experience, knowledge of AML, excellent organisation, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong client care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Conveyancing Assistant within a residential property team.
• Experience supporting freehold and leasehold sales and purchases.
• Good understanding of the residential conveyancing process.
• Knowledge of AML and client verification requirements.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and client care skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
• Proactive and positive approach to supporting fee earners and clients.
• Remortgages and Transfers of Equity.

Responsibilities

• Supporting fee earners throughout the conveyancing process from instruction to completion.
• Managing communications with clients, estate agents, lenders and solicitors.
• Opening files and completing AML and client due diligence checks.
• Requesting searches, title documents and redemption statements.
• Reviewing and preparing conveyancing documentation.
• Drafting and issuing contract packs.
• Preparing replies to enquiries and requisitions.
• Assisting with exchanges and completions.
• Preparing completion statements and bills.
• Maintaining accurate file records and updating the case management system.
• Dealing with post-completion administration.
• Proactively progressing transactions and keeping clients updated.
