Job summary

Sills & Betteridge LLP is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join its Sheffield team. You will manage your own residential conveyancing caseload and act as a key contact for clients, agents, lenders and third parties to progress transactions efficiently.

Responsibilities

Are you an experienced Residential Conveyancer, Conveyancing Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, CILEX Lawyer or Legal Executive looking for a new opportunity in Sheffield?

We are recruiting an experienced residential property professional to join the Residential Conveyancing team at Sills & Betteridge LLP, an established regional law firm with a strong reputation for quality legal advice and excellent client care.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9.00am–5.15pm.

The Role

You will manage your own portfolio of residential conveyancing matters, taking transactions from initial instruction through to completion.

You will act as a key point of contact for clients, estate agents, lenders and other third parties, providing clear, practical advice and ensuring transactions progress efficiently and in line with regulatory and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Managing a full residential conveyancing caseload
• Handling a varied range of residential property transactionsProviding clear and practical legal advice
• Maintaining excellent client care and communication
• Liaising with estate agents, lenders and third parties
• Managing files, deadlines and workload effectively
• Using conveyancing case management systems
• Working closely with conveyancing assistants and colleagues
• Identifying and escalating compliance or risk issues where required
• Contributing to the performance of the wider Residential Property team

The successful candidate will be technically strong across residential conveyancing and comfortable managing both complex transactions and challenging client situations professionally.

What We’re Looking For

We would particularly like to hear from Residential Conveyancers, Conveyancing Solicitors, Licensed Conveyancers, CILEX Lawyers, Legal Executives and Residential Property Lawyers.

You should have proven residential conveyancing experience and be confident managing matters from instruction through to completion.

You will also need strong client-care and communication skills, excellent organisation, good attention to detail and confidence working within a regulated legal environment.

A Licensed CLC Lawyer qualification or equivalent recognised professional qualification is required.

Experience supervising or delegating work to a conveyancing assistant would be advantageous.
