Job summary

Henderson Scott Limited in Salisbury is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer to join a growing regional firm. You will manage a varied residential property caseload with support, handling from instruction through completion and ensuring client care.

The role offers hybrid working (minimum 3 days in the office) and flexible patterns, with a salary range of £48,000–£75,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Solicitors, Licensed Conveyancers and Legal Executives with residential conveyancing experience.
• Ability to manage a personal residential conveyancing caseload.
• Strong knowledge of property law and Land Registry procedures.
• Experience using conveyancing case management systems (LEAP).

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of residential property transactions from instruction to completion.
• Handle freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages and equity transfers.
• Review titles, draft contracts and property documentation.
• Conduct searches, raise enquiries and manage Land Registry applications.
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders and other third parties.
• Ensure regulatory AML compliance and maintain accurate case records.

Conveyancing Solicitor / Licensed Conveyancer

Location: Salisbury
Experience: 2+ PQE - open to all levels
Salary: £48,000-£75,000 DOE
Working Pattern: Full-time or part-time | Hybrid - minimum 3 days in the office

A growing regional law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Residential Conveyancing Fee Earner to join its expanding team in Salisbury.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking firm focused on building a modern, client-focused conveyancing department. You'll manage a varied residential property caseload within a supportive environment, with reasonable caseloads, excellent administrative support and flexible working arrangements.

The Role

You will manage a varied caseload of residential property transactions from instruction through to completion, including:

• Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases


• Remortgages and transfers of equity


• Reviewing titles and investigating potential issues


• Drafting and reviewing contracts and property documentation


• Conducting searches, raising enquiries and handling Land Registry applications


• Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other third parties


• Advising clients throughout the transaction and managing expectations


• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, AML procedures and lender requirements


• Maintaining accurate case management records and progressing matters efficiently


• Supporting business development and client retention

About You

The firm is keen to hear from Solicitors, Licensed Conveyancers and Legal Executives with residential conveyancing experience.

You will ideally have:

• Experience managing your own residential conveyancing caseload


• Strong knowledge of property law and Land Registry procedures


• An understanding of mortgage lender requirements


• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills


• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to client care


• Experience using conveyancing case management systems, ideally LEAP


• A proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple transactions effectively

Candidates with 2+ PQE or equivalent experience are encouraged to apply, although the firm is open to considering applicants at other levels.
