Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is recruiting a Children’s Support Worker for a school and residential setting in Herefordshire. You will support children with severe Autism and Learning Disabilities through long-term education programmes, helping them develop confidence and independent living skills.

The role involves a 3 on 3 off rota, personal care, and community activities within a tranquil environment. The successful candidate may be required to drive after training and will have the opportunity to

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license required
• Experience in a care role or with children and young people preferred
• Experience working with individuals with Autism or Learning Disabilities is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Ensure high standards of personal care for each young person, including physical well-being and hygiene
• Take Key Worker responsibility for individual young people
• Support pupils in community activities, outings, and transport after training
• Engage with pupils in lessons and leisure activities, including physical activities
• Pursue Diploma Level 3 as required under safeguarding regulations
• Read and follow individual placement plans and risk assessments, maintain records
• Work on a rota including some weekend shifts
• Be adaptable with a positive, can-do attitude
