Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking an experienced Residential Childcare Worker in Hereford to support young people aged 11-19 with SEND, Autism and mental health needs. The role covers residential and school settings with an immediate start and both permanent and flexible temporary opportunities.

You will provide personal care, emotional support and help young people access daily activities, with sleep-in shifts as required. Competitive hourly rates apply.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND
• Experience supporting young people with Autism / ASD
• Experience supporting individuals with Severe Learning Difficulties and/or mental health needs
• Good safeguarding and promoting young people's wellbeing
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Patient, resilient and caring approach

Responsibilities

• Support young people within the residential home and school environment
• Provide personal care and emotional support
• Promote independence and help access daily activities
• Sleep-in shifts will be required
