Job summary

ACAD in Dumfries seeks a Registered Manager to head a four-bed children’s home, delivering high-standard care, safeguarding, and tailored care plans for young people. Lead recruitment, training, and team development, ensuring regulatory compliance and strong stakeholder partnerships.

You will join CareTech’s leadership team with a competitive package, including a £50,000–£55,000 salary, a £5,000 registration bonus, and a long-term leadership development pathway; a UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Passionate about making a difference for young people in care.
• Minimum 2 years in residential care with supervisory experience in last 5 years.
• Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care is essential.
• Level 5 Leadership and Management preferred or enrolled within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Develop Comprehensive Care Plans tailored to each young person.
• Build and lead a strong home team with induction and personal development plans.
• Foster consultation with young people and allocate Key Workers.
• Maintain high standards in line with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with parents, carers and professionals to promote welfare.
