Job summary

CareTech’s ACAD division invites a Registered Manager to lead a four-bed children's home in Dumfries, Scotland. You will develop tailored care plans, supervise a dedicated team, and ensure safeguarding and high standards of care across education, health, and welfare.

You will drive excellent outcomes through budget management, stakeholder collaboration, and ongoing leadership development from our Leadership Academy. A rewarding leadership role with competitive pay and incentives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in residential care for children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
• Must hold Level 3 in Children's Residential Care; Level 5 Leadership and Management preferred or enrolled within 6 months of starting.

Responsibilities

• Develop Comprehensive Care Plans tailored to each young person’s needs across care, education, social, emotional and health aspects.
• Lead and develop a strong team; manage induction and personal development plans.
• Foster consultation with young people about their care and allocate Key Workers.
• Maintain high standards aligned with quality standards and the Home’s Statement of Purpose.
• Handle complaints and safeguarding concerns; collaborate with parents and professionals.
• Participate in care planning and review meetings; ensure safe culture and budget adherence.
