Additional Resources Ltd is seeking a Residential Childcare Worker to join a children’s residential care provider offering therapeutic support to young people with emotional, behavioural and trauma-related needs.

You will help create a safe, nurturing home where young people build confidence, independence and achieve positive outcomes. Training and qualification support are provided to develop a career in residential childcare.

Qualifikationen

• Genuine interest in working with children and supporting their emotional/personal development.
• Compassionate, patient and resilient with the ability to stay calm in challenging situations.
• Willingness to learn and follow safeguarding procedures.

Aufgaben

• Support children and young people in a residential setting, prioritising safety, wellbeing and individual needs.
• Develop positive relationships, provide emotional support and act as a reliable role model.
• Assist young people who may have experienced trauma or emotional difficulties.
• Encourage independence, confidence, healthy routines and positive decision-making in daily activities.
• Support educational development, recreation, and community involvement.
• Contribute to care plans, risk assessments, and daily reports.
• Promote safeguarding and a caring environment in line with Ofsted standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues, social workers, families and other professionals.
