Job summary

Career Makers Inc. is seeking a Residential Children’s Home Team Leader in Salford to support the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager in daily operations.

You will lead staff, ensure high-quality care for children and young people, and foster a safe, nurturing environment to help residents develop confidence and achieve positive outcomes. The role requires a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent, at least 12 months supervisory experience, and strong safeguarding knowledge.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 months supervisory experience.
• Residential childcare experience with challenging behaviour or complex needs.
• Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts, allocate duties and ensure smooth running of the home.
• Provide guidance, supervision and support to staff.
• Ensure care plans are followed and individual needs met.
• Build positive relationships with young people and act as a role model.
• Promote safeguarding and high standards of care.
• Maintain accurate care records and electronic documentation.
• Work with families, social workers and other professionals.
• Support staff induction, training and development.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, policies and regulatory standards.
• Deputise for the Registered/Deputy Manager when required.
